Why I Founded the Allysia Joi Coaching Academy™
The Allysia Joi Coaching Academy™ was born from what I witnessed over and over again: women who were naturally gifted to lead, guide, and coach others but were never officially recognized, certified, or equipped to walk in that authority. For years, I’ve helped aspiring entrepreneurs show up as coaches in their industries, but something was missing — the affirmation, the structure, and the activation that comes with formal certification. I was certified as a coach in 2018 and transitioned into business coaching shortly after. Since then, I’ve completed over 300 hours of continued education in coaching and psychology, and through that journey, I began to notice where most coaching programs fall short. They teach methods, but overlook the individual. They offer frameworks, but ignore the woman’s story, her mindset, and her state of being.
When I started out, I struggled. I questioned if I was enough, if I could actually make a difference, especially in a space where it felt like everyone was becoming a coach. So I built tools and systems for myself, and I soon realized they were different. When I shared them with clients or peers, the response was always the same: This is a game changer. What I created was simple, practical, and powerful, not just for growing a business, but for building a coaching practice that reflects who you really are. And now, it’s the heart of this Academy.
